has four basic Trim Shear models: EC-7, EC-8,
EC-9, and EC-10. All Trim Shears are designed
to cut steel, stainless steel, titanium, inconel,
and similar metals. Individual capacity depends
on the size of the tool (see table below).
In order to accommodate as many
production requirements as possible, all our tools
are equipped with reversible pneumatic motors.
The advantages of having a reversible
motor are:
- If the tool for some reason would
stall or jam, the operator flips a lever or
turns a knob, depending on which tool he is
using, and the tool will reverse rotation and
work itself loose.
- The tool can be used to operate
away from, as well as towards, the operator.
- Allows for “In and Out”
shearing.
